An outstanding Italian pianist

Antonio Pompa-Baldi was born in Foggia, Italy. He graduated from the Umberto Giordano Conservatory of Foggia in 1993. Then, he won the Cleveland International Piano Competition in 1999.

After that, he started a musician career that extended across five continents. Antonio Pompa-Baldi appears regularly at the world’s major concert venues, including New York’s Carnegie Hall; Paris’ Salle Pleyel, Milan’s Sala Verdi, Shanghai’s Grand Theatre, etc.

Antonio has played with many prestigious symphonies such as the Houston Symphony; Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Boston Pops, Colorado Symphony, among many others.

A dedicated teacher with rich musical tradition

Antonio Pompa-Baldi is an award-winning concert pianist. His talent brought him to perform everywhere around the globe, but also to teach at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He tirelessly passes on his knowledge and craftsmanship to the young pianists studying there.  Along with being an active concert pianist, Antonio Pompa-Baldi is a dedicated teacher who comes from a rich musical tradition.

At the same time, he conducted Masterclasses at the China National Conservatory. He is the founder and faculty member of Todi International Music Masters, a Summer Festival in Italy. As well, he is part of the juries of the most prestigious piano world competitions, including the Virginia Waring International Competition or even the Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition.
