A multi-faceted singer
China Moses, born on 9 January 1978 in Los Angeles, is a versatile artist who has made her mark on the French music scene. At the age of 18, she recorded her first single, “Time” (1997), followed by several successful albums such as “China” (1997), “On Tourne en Rond” (2000), and “Good Lovin’” (2004), which established her as a benchmark of R’n’B in France.
In addition to her musical career, China Moses has also made a name for herself as a presenter, sharing her passion on music channels such as MCM and MTV France. In 2011, she joined the Grand Journal team on Canal+, and hosts the daily show “Made in China” on Jazz Radio. In 2008, she founded her own production company, MadeInChina Productions.
China Moses is also involved in film, lending her voice to projects such as the animated short “Make It Soul”. She played Pat in Julie Delpy’s film “Lolo” and took part in other projects such as “Les Méchants” alongside Mathieu Kassovitz, Samy Naceri, Pierre Palmade, Oxmo Puccino, Alban Ivanov, and Elie Semoun.
Her commitment to music goes beyond the stage, as she co-presented and sang at the first International Jazz Day in Paris in 2012. She also regularly shares the stage with her mother, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and has taken part in international festivals such as the Alfa Jazz Fest in Ukraine.
