Artist of international renown
Alejandro Sanz is, without a doubt, a reference for Spanish and Latin American music, as well as one of the most recognized singer-songwriters in the world. In a career that spans three decades, he has won 20 Latin Grammys, three US Grammys, and has sold more than 25 million albums.
In 1991, he released Viviendo Deprisa, the first of a dozen platinum-selling studio albums. His album Más, released in 1997, marked a turning point in the history of popular music in Spain, becoming the best-selling album in the country’s history, with 2.2 million copies. Worldwide, this album has reached 6 million sales. Alejandro has also released 4 live albums, including an MTV unplugged (2001) and 4 compilations.
His musical style is a fusion of pop, rock, funk and, of course, flamenco. All sealed by a voice that has become his trademark. He has collaborated with many famous artists such as René de Calle 13, Joaquín Sabina, Tony Bennett, Marc Anthony, Alicia Keys, The Corrs, Shakira, Juanes, among others.

Among Alejandro Sanz’s most notable awards are the Vision Award for his contribution to Latin music, presented in 2010 by the White House, through the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture in 2011.
In 2013, Berklee University (Boston, USA), named him Doctor Honoris Causa for his international contribution to contemporary, Mediterranean and Latin music.
