A talented drummer.
As the drummer for the live project of PV Nova and Jenifer, Camille Bigeault began her journey as a self-taught musician, playing along to albums by bands such as Blur, The Beatles, Placebo, Coldplay, Linkin Park, and Muse. It was the impactful performance of Steve Hewitt, former drummer of Placebo, in the DVD “Soulmates never die” that solidified her decision to pursue drumming professionally.
After two years of lessons with Thierry Bordier, she joined the Conservatoire (CNR) de Toulouse, where she studied under the guidance of José Fillatreau. Five years later, she graduated with a drumming prize, while also obtaining a bachelor’s degree in jazz musicology and a professional degree in contemporary music.
In 2016, Camille began sharing videos of her polyrhythmic ideas on social media, which gained worldwide popularity. This exposure opened new opportunities for her, including performing in the rock opera “Le rouge et le noir” in Paris. She then continued with collaborations and projects such as The Gerald Peter Project, Mae Defays, Rivière, Edgar Mauer and simoultaneously began to develop her own composition project, mixing prog rock and pop folk.

Recognized for her approach to polyrhythms and odd time signatures, Camille Bigeault continues to teach and regularly holds masterclasses. She also recorded pedagogical videos with Drumchannel and Drumeo and has written her own drumming method called “The Polyrhythm Odyssey“. She continues to participates in drum festivals worldwide.
