The compelling jazz-funk pianist
Erik Deutsch is a pianist and composer native to Washington DC, who lived fifteen years in Brooklyn and is now based in Mexico City. He considers himself as a jazz pianist at heart, but often plays pop, rock & roll, country, jazz and electronic, folk and bluegrass music. Thanks to his great experience, he accumulated a large range of skills and musical styles.
Erik has been the official pianist of many famous artists such as Norah Jones, Rosanne Cash, Citizen Cope; Charlie Hunter and many others. On his side, he has been a member of the music bands Fat Mama, Leftover Salmon; Shooter Jennings, among others. His career has not only been on music stage but also in films, advertising, television and fashion collaborations.
In 2018, Erik released his sixth album named Falling Flowers in collaboration with his wife and singer Victoria Reed.
His method of learning the piano
