A jazz virtuoso

Guillaume Perret has been revolutionizing the jazz scene since 2001. Thanks to his exceptional sound work, he can embody an entire orchestra on stage in front of an astonished audience. Today, he is one of the greatest saxophonists on the French scene, and you probably know him from Thomas Pesquet’s mythical saxophone scene in space, which features one of his pieces: “16 Levers de Soleil“.

At Christmas 2009, he gave a triumphant performance at the Olympia with his group The Electric Epic, winning over the audience with their incredible performance: “an electro-shock where all the influences that have nourished the composer, all the experiences that have shaped the saxophonist, collide“.

Guillaume Perret breathes new life into jazz, giving it a refreshingly unconventional modernity. For him, “jazz has many colours, and cannot be limited to one particular style. It’s a big sandbox where anything is possible”.

Workshop & Creation

After winning conservatory prizes in classical music and jazz and a state diploma in jazz and contemporary music, Guillaume Perret set out to become a professional musician, but hasn’t given up teaching altogether. He runs sax workshops and creative workshops all over France for enthusiasts from beginners to professionals.
